Every quilt has a story, and this one marks the beginning of my Mystery Five-O adventures!
Aloha was my very first Mystery Five-O quilt, and I made it using the beautiful Floralscape fabric collection by Wilmington Prints in the Aloha Vibes layout.
I love how the rich burgundy, soft coral, and pops of turquoise work together in this quilt. The lighter background allows the colorful blocks to shine, while the deep burgundy border brings everything together.
One of the things I enjoy about mystery quilts is watching the design unfold as each new clue is released. You don’t know exactly how everything will come together until the mystery is revealed, and that’s part of the fun!
For the quilting, I chose Flowering Plum by Urban Elementz. The flowing floral design complements the fabrics beautifully and adds wonderful texture to the finished quilt.
I enjoyed my first Mystery Five-O experience so much that I signed up for the next mystery when it was released a couple of months later. And now I’m looking forward to another adventure with Gaelic Charm!
